Tailored, Evidence-Based Therapy for Adults in Massachusetts, Vermont, New York, & Rhode Island
Trauma & Anxiety Therapy for Adults
PE •CPT • CBT • ACT • Evidence-Based Care
Helping adults who appear composed on the outside but feel overwhelmed on the inside.

You may look like you have everything under control—capable, reliable, and productive—while privately struggling with anxiety, chronic stress, or the lasting effects of trauma. Many adults I work with are high-functioning on the outside, yet feel overwhelmed, emotionally drained, or stuck beneath the surface.

If pushing through and staying busy is no longer working, therapy can help. I provide evidence-based trauma therapy and anxiety treatment to help you reduce distress, change unhelpful patterns, and build a more sustainable, meaningful way of living.

Who I Help

I work with adults who are capable, responsible, and often relied upon by others, yet feel internally overwhelmed, anxious, or stuck. Many of my clients are professionals, caregivers, healthcare workers, or high-achieving adults who have spent years managing stress through constant productivity, overthinking, or self-pressure.

You may not think of your experiences as trauma, but you might notice:

  • Persistent anxiety or mental strain

  • Difficulty slowing down or stepping out of “problem-solving mode”

  • Ongoing exhaustion, even when life looks stable

  • Feeling disconnected from what matters to you

If you’re functioning well but feel worn down or constrained by anxiety or chronic stress, therapy can help you develop greater psychological flexibility—so your choices are guided more by your values and less by fear, avoidance, or pressure.

If you resonate with being highly capable on the outside but overwhelmed on the inside, you’re in the right place.

What I Treat

I work with adults experiencing anxiety, chronic stress, and trauma-related symptoms—often when the impact shows up before the full story makes sense. Symptoms may develop after a clearly overwhelming event, or build gradually over years of pressure, responsibility, or high expectations.

You may notice:

  • Ongoing worry, tension, or restlessness

  • Difficulty slowing down or quieting your mind

  • Emotional exhaustion, irritability, or feeling disconnected

  • Sleep problems or never feeling fully rested

  • A sense of carrying more than you can easily name

  •

Many clients don’t initially identify their experience as trauma—they simply know that their current ways of coping are no longer working.

I provide evidence-based trauma therapy and anxiety treatment, including support for individuals recovering from medical events. I have particular expertise in cancer-related stress, traumatic brain injury (TBI), and women’s health concerns.

If you’re looking for structured, evidence-based therapy focused on meaningful, lasting change, I invite you to schedule a consultation and explore whether this approach is the right fit.

How I Work
  • My approach is active, collaborative, and goal-oriented, helping clients move out of patterns of avoidance, overcontrol, and emotional struggle that keep symptoms going. Therapy focuses on building psychological flexibility—so difficult thoughts and emotions have less power over your daily choices and quality of life.

  • I provide evidence-based therapy for adults seeking help with trauma, PTSD, anxiety, and chronic stress. I integrate Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Prolonged Exposure (PE), and Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT). These approacheshelp you understand why symptoms are happening and what shifts will actually change the way you feel day-to-day. Sessions are structured enough to feel purposeful, but flexible enough to meet what’s coming up in real time.

  • My role is to help you clarify what you want your life to stand for, reduce the impact of anxiety and trauma-related symptoms, and build sustainable changes that support long-term wellbeing—not just short-term relief.
