About Dr. Brenner

Dr. Lauren Brenner is a licensed clinical psychologist and the founder of Brenner Psychological Associates. She provides telehealth-based psychotherapy, psychological assessment, and professional consultation to adults across Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and Vermont. Her specialties include posttraumatic stress disorder, anxiety, depression, sleep difficulties, and grief. Dr. Brenner is additionally a staff psychologist at Massachusetts General Hospital and Instructor in Psychiatry at Harvard Medical School.

With more than a decade of clinical, academic, and supervisory experience, Dr. Brenner combines structured, evidence-based treatment with a warm, collaborative presence and deep respect for each person’s unique context and identity.

In addition to her professional training, Dr. Brenner has personally navigated cancer and other demanding life stressors. These experiences have strengthened her empathy, resilience, and perspective, allowing her to connect with clients not only as a psychologist but also as someone who understands the challenges of living through profound change and uncertainty.
